4 Reasons to Carry Less

Need to be convinced why a simple wallet is better? Here are four reasons that inspired the Bare Bones wallet design.

1. YOU DON'T NEED ALL THOSE CARDS

Credit cards, loyalty cards, membership cards, promo cards, licenses, flybys … the list goes on. Everybody wants us to be wielding their card and to be able to produce it at a moment’s notice. If I carried every card I was ever given, I’d have to travel with a wheeled suitcase. Forget that. Take only what you need - I’m packing six essential cards I use daily and the rest get swapped in and out as necessary.

2. YOU'RE PANTS WILL THANK YOU

A fat wallet means a fat legged pant. Unless you’ve progressed to the clutch purse. If not, then you’re going to have to shove that huge mass into your jeans pocket and limp around like you want it there. Cull the clutter and your pants will thank you.

3. YOU'RE NOT A PIGGY BANK, SO DON'T CARRY ALL YOUR COINS

We’ve talked about this before, but it’s worth bringing up again: Coins are the worst. There. I’ve said it.

I remember the days of storing all my coins into the zip part of my velcro wallet. They would just amass over time and I’d never consider using them cause I didn’t want to be that guy counting out $7.85 in change only to realise that I was 40 cents short. So, I started leaving them at home as a cheeky side savings.

4. LESS CARRY = LESS WORRY

It’s obvious, but the less you have to care for, the less you have to worry about when you’re finding the good times. Not only that, you can count on your Bare Bones wallet to keep everything in places, and safe.
